Coming back into the cabin (Name) tried to ignore the blush that was on her cheeks from how close Leo had been to her.

“How was Leo?” Annabeth asked when she saw her half-sister slink into the cabin before flopping onto her bed. “You haven’t told him yet?”

“And say what? Want to screw up our friendship on a chance this relationship could work?”

“You know that …”

“You and Piper say that he likes me back, but he hasn’t shown an inkling of liking me like that” (Name) buried her face in her pillow.

“He totally does, Piper and I have a plan to get him to admit it” Annabeth smirked before leaving her half-sisters room, dodging the pillow that was tossed at her head.

“Please don’t, I get scared when you two plot together” 

“It will be fine, Hazel’s helping”

“That just makes me even more nervous”

The next day (Name) ended up hanging out with Leo again, this time she was reading one of the books Annabeth had lent her while Leo was fiddling with one of his projects. This was a normal occurrence for the pair, they would spend time together doing their own things, occasionally explaining to the other what they were doing.

“Are you going to the beach party Percy’s throwing?” Leo broke the silence as he put his tools down and turned to face the grey eyed girl as she looked over the top of her book.

“Annabeth’s dragging me” (Name) answered as she marked her page before shutting the book. “I think everyone’s going”

“I know that Piper and Jason are coming as well as Nico and Will”

“I think Hazel and Frank are coming as well, before they head back to Camp Jupiter”

“That’ll make it interesting. Oh, Grover and Jupiter are also coming”

“It’ll be a party then. What are you making?”

“Secret” Leo smirked as he looked at the daughter of Athena who just shook her head.

“You do realise that you are going to have to change before you go down to the beach right? You are covered in oil”

“I think I pull this look off don’t you think?” the son of Hephaestus joked while he done his best supermodel impression causing the (hair coloured) teen to crack up into giggles at his antics.

“You’re an idiot Valdez” (Name) playfully quipped once he stopped posing and her laughter died down. Feeling something brush over her hand (eye colour) eyes looked down to see a spider right by her hand. Jumping to her feet, an action that startled Leo, and climbing on top of one of the crates scattered around the room.

“(Name)? What’s wrong?” Leo asked, rushing to her side, he had never seen her look so flustered or freaked out before.

“S-spider” she answered, pointing to where she was previously sat. For a second Leo couldn’t believe that a girl who could kill a hellhound without blinking an eye would freak out at a tiny spider, before he remembered the story of Arachne and all children of Athena were terrified of spiders. Going over to the spot where she had been and killing the cause of her freak out.

“All gone”

“Thank you. Sorry I freaked out”

“Its fine. You coming down from there princessa?” Leo questioned as he realised that the demigod had not moved off of the crate. Walking over to the crate he placed his hands on her waist, not noticing the blush that spread on her face at the contact, and lifting her off of the crate. As she was lifted (Name’s) hands were moved so that they were resting on his shoulders. Once her feet were on the ground, neither moved from their position for a while before she quickly removed herself from him and grabbing her book.

“I need to go get ready for later. I’ll see you on the beach?”

“Oh. Sure. See you there”

Rushing back to her cabin (Name) could feel still feel the heat that radiated from where Leo had touched her and saw that her orange t-shirt has oil and dirt over it which reminded her of the ‘Repair Boy’. When he held her the daughter of Athena had felt a spark, something that she didn’t feel with anyone other than Leo and hoped that he felt it too, because if he did then she had a chance.

 (Name) regretted letting Annabeth, Hazel and Piper get her ready, she knew the three were plotting something and their offer to get her ready should have raised a red flag. Looking around Cabin Three, she noticed that all the boys were giving them a wide berth and letting the three use her as a dress up doll, that made her worried that they were also involved in whatever plot that was cooking.

“You look so cute” Hazel smiled while she adjusted the (hair colour) braids, pretending not to notice the dark look that was shot her way.

“I hate you all” (Name) muttered as she caught the (favourite colour/pattern) bikini that Piper threw at her. “I’m not wearing this”

“You can either do it willingly or I will make you” Piper smirked and it was clear to all of them that the daughter of Aphrodite would charmspeak her into the bikini in order for this ‘plan’ to go ahead.

“I just want to reiterate that I hate you all”

“We heard you. Now wear this over it” Annabeth a white sundress over to the younger female to put over the bikini until they were actually on the beach. Grumbling to herself and knowing that there was no way for her to get out of this predicament (Name) decided that the best way to deal with it would be to go along with it and pray to the Gods that nothing too embarrassing happened.

“YOU GIRLS COMING OUTSIDE YET?!” Percy shouted, annoyed that his girlfriend had kicked him out of his own cabin.

“GIVE US A MINUTE SEAWEED BRAIN!” the blonde shouted back, annoyed at his lack of patience for their plan.

“Everything’s going to be fine” Hazel went over to (Name) after she changed, tugging on the material of her dress and looking uncomfortable in it. The way the daughter of Pluto spoke to her caused the (hair coloured) teen to calm down and feel less worried about what they were planning. “Nothing is going to get out of hand, we are just giving Leo a little push to confess to you”

“Or” Piper spoke up, a devious smirk on her lips “you could confess to him yourself and end this all before it begins”

The thought of confessing to Leo played on repeat through her mind, maybe if he turned her down then she could move on from this crush or there was a chance that he just might reciprocate her feelings. Her mind also went to trying to figure out what her friends were planning, and none of those made her feel comfortable.

“Princessa, good to see you” Leo greeted before he realised what she was wearing instead of her normal camp t-shirt and jeans. “You lo – look nice”

“Thanks, you lo-” (Name) started before she was cut off by Percy wrapping and arm around her waist and lifting her up. “JACKSON! PUT ME DOWN!”

“Hey Leo glad you came. Didn’t think the son of Hephaestus was going to be by the water” Percy spoke around the squirming girl in his arm.

“Want to put her down?” the bad boy supreme asked trying to control his temper in case he accidentally combusted.

“In a minute. I need her for something”

“You could have just asked and I would have helped you” (Name) sighed as she tried to loosen the arm around her waist.

“This seemed more fun. I’ll give her back you to later Valdez”

Something like this happened every time Leo and (Name) tried to have a conversation, once she got away from Percy and made her way back to her crush they had two minutes’ peace before Jason grabbed her and made her his partner for a volleyball came against Annabeth and Percy, claiming that Piper wasn’t interested in the ball game. After that Will needed her help prepare the food for lunch, during lunch she was kept between Piper and Annabeth. Nico would keep her distracted with Hazel. The final time it happened was surprisingly Frank (who was carrying out Jason and Percy’s main idea and looking incredibly apologetic and nervous), coming up behind her (Name) he picked her up similar to the son of Poseidon and walked over to the ocean before dropping her in it. The fact that she was still wearing her bikini under the dress did nothing to help her situation, she was soaking wet and as she stood up the now see through material clung to her form like a second skin. Looking up at the group on the beach she saw them either laughing or smirking at what happened, though the Latino elf was not on the shore. Taking steps towards the shore, (Name) wrapped her arms around her body to have a semblance of cover which didn’t work until a white shirt was placed over her shoulders, looking up to who done that she met Leo’s eyes which looked angrier than normal.

“Thank you Leo” she whispered quietly as he led her out of the water and back up onto the beach. Before he started to lead her towards the cabins, giving a quick explanation that (Name) needed to change before she got sick.

“Leo what’s up man? Oh hey (Name), what happened to you?” Jake asked when he saw the pair walk into cabin nine.

“Fell in the ocean”

“Sounds fun. Piper dropped off something for you earlier, probably figured you see Leo before you saw her. I see her point though; I feel like you spend more time here than at your cabin”

“I guess so”

“Come on Princessa” Leo interrupted, his tone tenser than normal, as he kept leading her down to his bunk, seeing the bag that Piper had dumped in his cabin. “She knew she was going to see you today, why did she bring it here?”

Opening the bag (Name) realised how well the two of them had been pawns in the matchmaking scheme. Inside the bag was a spare pair of clothes for the daughter of Athena, “Dammit Piper”

“What is it?”

“Why do look so angry?” before Leo was able to see what was in the bag, the female needed answers and she wasn’t going to back down. “You’ve looked annoyed all day and when we were in the ocean you looked angry.”

“It doesn’t matter”

“It matters to me Leo, why?”

“I wanted to spend time with you today” Leo sighed as he flopped back on his bed as he stared blankly at the ceiling, “figured with all the couples doing their own thing I could get some time with you. Then every time I tried to talk to you someone would come and take you away, every freaking time. And Frank. He dropped you in the ocean, what if you got hurt or drowned, and your clothes”

(Name) sat down next to the Hispanic teen before lying next to him “Clothes are easy to fix and I’m fine. Why did you want to spend time with me?”

“Because your amazing (Name), gods you are so amazing. You’re so smart, I mean you’re a child of Athena, and funny. The way you make faces when you read your books is adorable or the way you twirl your hair when you’re bored. I know I need to stop falling for girls out of my league but you are the I can’t help but fall in love with.”

When the still soaked teen didn’t say anything Leo assumed that he had completely screwed up their friendship, that he had blown his chance with her. He knew that what he had felt on the beach was jealousy, jealous that everyone was taking all of (Name’s) attention. As he felt the weight next to him shift he thought that she was going to leave him and cut all ties to him. He was surprised when he felt a pair of lips pressed onto his, his eyes widened to the size of dinner plates before the shut and he kissed the gorgeous girl back, wrapping his arm around her waist and pulling her closer to him before the need for air became too great.

“I fell for you too Leo”  

“AWW!” the two lovebirds spun around to see all their friends standing by the door.

“Will you guys stop stalking us?” (Name) sighed as she and Leo sat up, a blush on both of their cheeks when they realised that they had been spied on. “Your plan worked, now go away”

“What plan?” a confused Valdez asked as he looked between all the guests he had,

“They wanted to make you jealous so that you would confess. They planned everything that was going to happen today”

“And it worked” Piper and Annabeth both had massive grins, they were over the moon that their plan had worked and that (Name) would no longer be pouting anymore.

“Please go”

“Fine, come on guys lets go back to the beach. Don’t forget the spare pair of clothes for you that I left here earlier”

“I still hate you”

“I know” as the daughter of Aphrodite led everyone out the (eye coloured) teen rested her head on Leo’s shoulder.

“We have weird friends”

“They gave us the push we needed, so it isn’t too bad.” Running his fingers through (hair length and colour) hair, before he moved his fingers to curl under her chin and tilted her face so he could kiss her. “Te amo Princessa”

“Te amo Leo”
